illinois insurance state farm
I am from central Illinois hoping to get others in Illinois quotes. just got a quote from state farm its $610 a year $300,000 per liability occurrence $600,000 per year $10,000 coverage on my mower with $500 deductible. I feel this is a little high but I could be wrong, that's why I am asking others from Illinois what they pay for this kinda liability coverage. I believe $300,000 is residential only not commercial I would imagine $1m is commercial minimum? sorry dumb question. also I heard about this "minimum premium" that the insurance co. don't really tell you about? any info on that would be appreciated, thanks guys. also I need to talk to them about covering trailers and me using my personal truck for work.

That sounds about normal. I've have $500k/$1 Mill liability, $1k deductible, $20k replacement on equipment for around $720 a year. That's right in line with what you pay. I also have my commercial truck insurance through State Farm and I'd have to look that up to be sure, but I'm thinking it's only a few more dollars (less than $10) per month than regular auto insurance.

I just signed with erie yesterday for gl and its a 1 million, 2 million. Landscaper policy which covers basic landscape. The lawn care policy ony covers lawn care directly. I was quoted 525 for the year.

The quot you have is about right, maybe a bit high for the smaller amount of coverage. It is just my suggestion, go on and get a 1 million dollar policy. All my commercial contracts require a 1 mill polity.
It is VERY strongly advice to upgrade your regular auto policy to a commercial policy. If you was to have any kind of accident with your tuck and trailer using it in any type of work. You may well find out your residential /regular policy will NOT want to pay off, or limited replacement at best. My wife works for a local independent agency in Bloomington, IL. https://www.clemensinsurance.com/ She has my coverage with 1 mill in commercial general liability plus a commercial auto polity that covers my equipment and trailer. I forget exactly but I think the GL and commercial auto for around $1350 a year. Having a GL policy without commercial auto is a recipe for disaster. |

I am in Central Illinois. I have 1,000,000 in General Aggregate for Commercial liability. $500,000 for each occurance. I only have about $8500 in equipment. I am paying a little less than $350 a year. I think I get a fairly good discount since I have both my home and auto with the same company. My deductable is $250.
