I don't have any experience with bermuda grass so I cant say, but on how deep it cuts, you can adjust the knives to an extent to go deeper or shallower. I would say from 1/8" to 1 inch. But if I was doing a new yard this is what I would use.

Almost 100% of the yards are sodded but we have some HOA that have bare spots. Even though I got this seeder we was looking at a hydromulch seeding. We though that the mulch gave us a ittle better chance of getting the seed up. I just don't see running bermuda seed thru this unit.
