Towing 14000 gvwr trailer with...?

Hi everyone! I am trying to upgrade my mowing/towing setup this year. The Idea is this I do need to tow my trailer in the Spring ( mulch, clean up debris, some heaver stuff like bricks and rocks) also it will be busy in the Fall time, clean ups etc. The rest of the season truck will be on the cutting grass route. That's why I decided to go for a box truck ( secure, dry, no tie down stuff) The question is what kind of a truck t will be? I was looking for those Penske trucks ford 5.4l or GMC 3500 savana with 6.0L they already have towing package and with just adding the dove tail I thik it will work. Please state your opinion. Thank you.

But you want the truck to be able to pull 14k of trailer? I would go with the Savana in your situation. The 6.0 should pull it no problem. My truck pulled 12k without a stutter.

You will likely need DOT numbers in your state, USDOT if you travel across state lines. Any trailer over 10,000 gvwr they are pretty stiff on now days. Also, if your trailer is 14,000 the most your truck can have a gvwr is 12,000 without you needing a CDL. This limits you to something the equivalent of a F-350.

Already have permit for getting class A CDL and here in NJ you need CDL if you towing trailer more that 10000 gvr. so this should not be a problem. My concern with all this hills that we have here in north NJ...and going 15mph iup to the hill is not funny

Not UNLESS the combo is over 26k.
