What are you paying rent/mortgage for your shop?

I'm trying to get an idea if the shop I'm looking at is a good deal or not. It's a 40'x30' building with one drive in door, finished office space, kitchenette, finished bathroom, electric, internet and cable all available. Private gated gravel drive on 1.25 wooded acres. $1,500 per month.

No.

Although I might spend a night or two there if I'm behind on something.

It's not bad for the price. What about buying some acres and putting pole barn up yourself?

Sounds like a lot to me.

1500$ per month could possibley buy you a 300,000 home that might include a shop.

30 x 50 can get real small real fast, although it does look like a nice place to hang out.

Not around here. 300k is a shack with no yard. Once in a while you'll find 2 acres under 300 but very very rare

He'll our town houses are 300

1500 for rent would be a small 2 bd 1 bath. Shop he's looking at would be over 2

We can get 10-12 acres for 100k. Obviously not developed. But that's not a big deal.

The point with buying land and shop would be building a business. You'll have something to sell other than a bunch of equipment and accounts people don't want to pay for lol

I agree and I'll get there at one point. I don't see myself buying anything for another 2-3 years though. I had the opportunity to purchase 5 acres already cleared and ready to go for $22,000 a couple of years ago and I'm kicking myself I didn't take it.

I don't know your area, but I don't think it's a bad price. My biggest thing with renting yard space is having the ability to have bins. And places around here don't have the space.

So were probably going to buy the land and build a pole barn to keep equipment in. Renting a house for a while though, may build a house on the back of the property eventually
