im looking to buy a cat 236b is it worth it being i don't work for it everyday but sick of renting. they just raised the rental rate again. it will be used for snow loading salt and clearing snow from the street and parking lots at a church we do.

What are they charging per day or week to rent? Multiply that by roughly the number of days you will have it rented per year, then compare with the cost of buying one outright and that will give you an idea if it would be worth it or not. Of course on the flip side then you are responsible for maintenance, tires, etc. so you need to factor that in. If you bought one would you be able to put it to work year round?
