Buying a mower for a church

Guys - asking this on my Church's behalf....

Can you score a good deal on a mower if purchased by a non-profit like a church? I thought I had read on here that there are such discounts available.
Anyone shed some light on this?

Thx

yes some mfgs have deals for gov and nonprofits. Depends on mfg and willing dealer. I know my dealer sells a couple that way each year.

Best thing to do is make a base line of what the church needs and go to a couple local dealers and see what is out there.

I know Deere does. I looked into it quite a bit last spring. There are caveats, but as long as the deal meets the requirements it can be a cost effective way to go. IIRC, Deere requires that the mower be used only on the church's property(ies), though it doesn't have to be kept there.

I was told Exmark gives 30% discount if you mow a churches property. Maybe you should buy it and give it to the church.

Wow - 20-30% discounts from the major players, that is a pretty nice deal.

Like others have said exmark has it. Toro use to have it for contractors with non profit contracts but now have switched to only the non profit organizations can take advantage of the discounts

The person in charge of securing the equipment for the church needs to call around some local equipment dealers and pose the questions.
