Some Fall clean up from today. There is almost the mirror to this behind me, along with 2 other areas on the property. First is a before or part way through and other is almost done.

Kind of hard to see but this is what we do with our leaves now. The truck dump at the end or middle of each day. Then the leaves are loaded into the roll off containers and a friend picks them up to spread at his farm. He only charges $125 to haul away and dump. Even if we could dump leaves for free it pays for itself in time saved.

Our season ended last week. Here are a couple shots from around the shop. Cleaning things up, and doing maintenance.

We purchased a used tire machine for our shop. We were able to rotate a bunch of mower tires we would not normally pay to do. It will let us get another 100 hours or so out of each set. Just with small things like this and time savings of tire changes it should pay for it self quickly.

i like the idea of renting skids for snow season...how long is the rental lease? and if you don't mind me asking, how much is the fee? we have a lot of snow work but don't have enough landscaping to justify buying multiple skids...

We are the same. We have alot more snow work than summer work for equipment.
The skids are $700 per month for min of 4 months. Here most keep them for 5 Nov-March. It is a 50hr per month limit with hours being averaged at the end of the rental period. So it's really 250hr for 5 months. It is $12.50 per hour overage charge. Which is still a cheaper hourly rate than owning one.
That is for Cat 252s. Prices for larger or smaller machines go up and down $25-50 per month each size.

Not much summer related here to talk about but I did get down to Phoenix last week. It was nice to walk on green grass and have some warm weather.
