Could have been. All were plumbed on a 1/2 line and sat inside the basement on top of the sill bewtween floor joists. Never paid much attn as the clocks needed replacement too. Clock was an easier sell.

Drum roll...guess what it was...! Watts 009 1/2" on a xray developing machine. It was stuck back in a closet above a counter top with a brass cup and copper drain below it. This made flushing the test cocks a pain.
There's no RP on the building which surprised me. Go figure. They paid 99.00 ![]() Was a learning curve...I haven't touched a RP in a year or so. Thanks to ARTurf I had a good set of cheat sheets. Mike

Careful with those guys.
In my experience with that model, particularly the 1/2" for some reason the TC's have a high failure rate . Make sure the test ports fully shuts off- they can seep through very very slowly and you cant get the ball valve to fully shut it off. So of course how it's designed with TC #3 and #4 you can't take them apart ( Uncrewing them ) unless you take apart the check holder on top. Fail! |

That's what my local irrigation supply guy told me. He said they have a high failure rate. This one passed (for which I was thankful)...I didn't want to have to try to fix it.

Never seen or heard of such a thing. Maybe you're thinking of the old 3/4"-1" AVB's.
