I'd buy a real work truck with a landscaping bed- UD or NPR. Forget the pick up trucks.

I would probably get a ram 4500 cummins chassis cab with a sick stake side flatbed dump. I might be over my 45,000.
But you said 3/4 ton; and I'm guessing you aren't asking which truck we would get for a work truck because i doubt most guys get brand new trucks to do their landscaping work. If it was for work, I would get a few 24 valve cummins or 7.3 powerstrokes. Great work trucks. If it is for personal use, I would get the 2013 ram 2500 with the 6.7 and do the deletes.

Start with a Ford frame and axles....put Cummins motor in it, with a Allison tranny, then pop a Chevy ext cab short box body on it. Prob cost more than 45k to make that but you did say "ultimate" haha

Reg cab GM diesel w/ heated mirrors, rear defroster and heated wipers. ...but thats just me.
