Thermistor

I have a yanmar engine and have been told the thermistor is bad. However it is a schwiess mower so parts are nearly impossible. The john deere dealer told me if i bring it in they can more then likely cross reference it. However i can not seem to locate it. Does anyone have a picture of what it would look like i don't really know what I'm looking for and google searches are coming up empty. Thanks for the help!

It should have a metal fuel line bolted to it, looks kinda of like a oil presure switch.

and if I'm correc this can cause the engine to die once it gets heated up if its malfunctioned as if the engine is running out of fuel?

It shouldnt, a thermister is whats used to start a cold engine instead of glow plugs.
