2012 Business Tax Return Filing Delayed?

Yesterday I got a information from my accountant that my business return cannot be filed til maybe late February to early March.
I have a list of all the filings:
Form 3800 General Business Credit
Form 4136 Credit for Federal Tax Paid on Fuels
Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization
Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits
Form 5884 Work Opportunity Credit
Form 8396 Mortgage Intrest Credit
Form 8582 Passive Activity Loss Limitations
Form 8839 Qualified Adoption Expenses
Form 8863 Education Credits
Form 8908 Energy Efficient Home Credit
Form 8909 Energy Efficient Appliance Credit

Can anyone else confirm this?

I have not even started. I do not use most of those forms either.
The IRS is the best place to look. It is possible some forms are delayed. I know I heard some 1040 forms were delayed a week.

My W2 and W3s are in the books.

I had heard that the Feds are delaying for a number of reasons. Read this link it may apply to your business. http://www.mydollarplan.com/irs-tax-filing-delay/

Well the Feds are the original "to big to fail" founding members. If it were a business it would have gone belly up a long time ago. We would be better off if they outsourced everything. IMHO

It is not a business and is not intended to operate like a business. It could be more business like but

These jokers are paid to do a job. Left, Right, Conservative, Liberal, they all stink. If it was even business like, they should be fired.
Thats one of the many reasons I hired an accountant, could not keep up on all the tax codes. Stupid waste of time, and they all say were trying to do what is right for the American people?
What I dont get is why the IRS has reprogram, test, test, reprogram, run a few more tests, report it, test again and then we all hope they dont come back in June and say we made a mistake and everbody got to much back?
I am not dependent on my tax return to live but it does provide me with a little extra spring start up money.

WTF!!! I need to get my taxes filed sooner than that so I can complete the FAFSA application for my son's financial aid. The state deadline is in 2 weeks. Much of the fianacial aid is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis...when it's gone it's gone. And his university also requires direct retrieval of our tax return, which takes a couple of weeks to be available after we file our return. I am gonna be sooooo p'd off if this delay screws up his ability to keep going to college!!!! I guess I need to call and see how they're handling this.

Yes, the info posted is correct. Almost everyone in the lawn biz will be affected as all should have assets they are depreciating. That is form 4562 and it is delayed.

Darryl G,
You can fill out your financial aide info (FAFSA) without the actual tax return. You just give a best estimate for 2012. They will obviously understand as you aren't allowed to file your return yet. Everyone else who owns a business or is required to use any of the above forms is in the same position as you are!
