I hope you have a helper. I'm at the point of hiring a 3rd member in a few weeks. I'm gaining new customers by the day. So far I've got 25 new accounts and some are full maintenance. And all of the is from the EDDM that I've mailed out.

Landed another commercial accnt today. its a once a month cut(bushhogg the levee behind a fenced in yard, and spray around the fence lines). nice easy job.

hey jacob, when you give bids for landscape installs, do you draw out an entire design for the, or just recommend plant placement and a general idea.

I have about 21 small installs and 4 large ones to be quoted and i cant possibly find the time to draw all these out like i want to.

well i can sort of answer your question....if its a free estimate, give them a general idea, in a short amount of time. We dont have free estimates/designs, we charge at least $100 an hour for design work, and meetings and such. But we do strictly large scale installs. I.E. complete reno, or new home. If it is just a bed or too in someones front yard, i would not waste much of my time drawing it out for them, instead, i would maybe bring some pictures of some of the plants, and then, if they go through, design it out.

Just my 2 cents.

on small installs i usually just recommend plant materials/placement. my famous phrase " you have to trust me"

im working on two drainage install bids and two large clearing/bushhogging jobs.
