Hustler Super Z hydro pumps

I have a Hustler Super Z XR 7 that the top caps on the hydro pumps were leaking. When I removed the cap the o ring looked flat and square but the dealer said they used to be round. They gave me new round ones and I installed and tightened everything back up. Started er up and worked the levers and they both started leaking bad right away. I then toiok the one side back off just to check that the oring was ok but everything looked good so I reassembles and tried it again. This time nothing worked. Does the system need to be bled somehow?

Some of the seals WERE quad rings. I have installed the wrong one once. Easy to mix up without really looking at them. I never had a leak. In fact I don't think I've ever seen a charge pump leak. What I encountered was the pump could not prime itself. (Hope you got the old one.) If you just removed the charge pump cover, and put the check valve and cover back correctly, it should prime its self in less than 4-5 minutes tops.
