Criticize my door hanger!

I don't have the proof yet...I'll post it when I get it.

I believe in keeping things basic, clean, simple, etc....

The message should be clear, concise, and to the point...that's what I believe.

So, here goes...

4x11 glossy color front/blank back

Backround image is just some basic lawn pic (grass)

At top we have the logo

The first text reads...

WE WANT TO MOW YOUR GRASS!

then there is a dotted line border (like a coupon, but not) which reads

Prices ranging from $25-$35 (mow, trim, edge, blow)

Then there is another offer....

MULCH!!

same dotted line coupon concept which reads within...

$8/bag installed!

At the bottom...

CALL NOW!

my contact info....

The end

I would get rid of the $8/bag for mulch. Yur gunna get people calling jut wanting the bare minimum of mulch. Does the install price include weeding of beds too?

Yeah, standard weeding. If it's a jungle then we'd have to talk.

I should put a 1 yard minimum, though.

Started using bags last season and I'll never go back to bulk. Love bagged mulch.

Yea I'd take the $8/bag off too. Maybe put 10% off mulch during march, or something to that effect. Do you not buy it by the yard. Buying by the bag cost alot more plus it takes a lot longer to load it up and open each bag. The weeding thing is important to, when you tell people it will take another $20, or $100 to clean their bed out first they will think you pulled the old bait and switch.

Also, are you sure you dont want to ability to charge more than $35 per yard? What if someone who has a $60-70 yard that takes over an hour to do?
Or the real problem is when they have a $40-$45 yard and thats what they are used to paying and they only call you to get an extra 5 or 10 bucks off. Then you are missing out on hundreds each week, you feel the stress every time you are there and will resent it, and you've got the type of customer who just wants the cheapest price over quality, service, and loyalty.
Maybe put prices starting at ____.

Just some things to consider
I think its ok if you are only advertising to small yards.

I'll be personally placing these on their doors. I will not place them on yards over a 1/4 acre (almost all yards here or 1/4 acre or smaller).

I get the bags for $2. 13 bags = a yard. So, $26 yard. I may be able to get it a bit cheaper buying bulk (and bulk is what I did for a decade). Bags are just so much easier, though. Less mess. Easier to transport. Easier to carry to the beds. I'll never go bulk again.

I'm a strong believer in the price having to be on the ads. IMO when it says $8/bag that is simple and easy for anyone to understand. They can get these bags for $5 at Home Depot or they can pay me a few bucks more to do it for them.

I'm using these guys by the way...great prices
