Stihl FS46

Thinking about getting a curved shaft trimmer for my dad. He is older and clockwise rotation is what he prefers.

How long is this trimmer? An FS45 is too short. Is the FS46 substantially longer? Is it about the length of an average straight shaft?

If any of you remember the Shindaiwa F230, does it compare in length?

Never actually held an FS46, but have seen an FS45 and they are way too short.

I am not a huge fan of Stihl, but it seems they are about the only ones making a curved shaft these days besides Tanaka (which is pretty short).

It is hard to find specs on Stihl products it seems.

I have a FS45 [same as that with a shorter shaft] and, i like it. It does fine with overgrown. It is extremely lightweight, pretty powerful, and seems pretty durable.
