Stolen Equipment!

Hey guys,

Since I know there are a few guys on here who work/live in my area, I thought I would let everyone know that sometime in the last few days someone stole our 1 yd loading bucket off our Cat 930H loader at our snow site in Norwell, MA.

It's a modified Cat Backhoe bucket that will work on any Cat Backhoe or Loader with the IT coupler. It has "1 YD" welded onto the top of the bucket as a identifying mark.

If anyone sees someone using a "new" mulch bucket this season to load trucks or hears about someone trying to sell a "1 YD" Cat loader bucket, please shoot me a note or give me a call at (508) 930-2631. I hate thiefs!

Have you checked with your local scrap yards, it's unreal what these idiots are taking to scrap. Hope you find them and post a photo of what they look like afterwards.

Sorry to hear that Andrew, thiefs are nothing but scum. They have to steal hard working people's tools because they are too lazy to work. Believe me I know ... I had my t190 stolen in the spring. Best of luck finding it.

Definitely check the scrap yards, I had copper stolen on a house I was flipping and noted that the guy cut through Made in The USA on a piece. Went down and dug through their pile and found the match. Cops had the guy in 2 hours.

The scrap yards were my first stop tomorrow morning the second I found out it was stolen.

What's really weird is that the loader was started up so they could disconnect the bucket from the loader and then they took the time to put the bigger 3.3yd bucket back on the loader that I had sitting on the ground next to the loader!

Joe-Ya, we already looked for some cameras. We're talking with the property owners next week. We might even put up our own hidden camera now too.

Krazy- that's the crazy part, the bucket was on the machine! Someone must really want a 1 yd Cat bucket.

That sucks man, thieves irritate me more than anything. Will keep an eye out but I doubt it'll make it all the way to the west coast. If you haven't already thought about adding night switches beyond what come with your equipment out of the factory, consider it. We had a Deere 744J that had a fuel pump disconnect and a couple other tricks that would stop someone dead in their tracks trying to get the machine started.

Thanks Scag. We have the standard "night" switch on the machine but will be exploring some other options as well to deter this kind of activity in the future.
