The dh232 hedge trimmer looks like an echo too.. Good thing I bought a dh231 last year. It will probably be gone shortly..

I was talking to my dealer last year about this, and as far as he was told by echo, they were going to keep manufacturing shindaiwa with the same components and grade as they previously were and not change the quality.

Sounded to me the echo line is just going to stay where it's at and become more homeowner type use or light commercial. Echo supposedly bought shindaiwa for their heavy commercial reputation and durability.

We'll see though.

What are they trying to do? Fool you into buying a pos Echo that says Shindaiwa on it? Leave the pos Echos orange.. All they will do is end up ruining Shindaiwa's name further by putting that junk in their lineup. Their name is already hurt since the merger...
