Planting grass

Hey guys, I have a customer that would like me to get rid of the weeds in his yard and plant grass. What do you guys normally charge and roughly how much should mI charge for this?

Are you licensed to apply herbicides. You can mechanically remove the existing weeds, but they will take over a again before the seed full comes in.

Unfortunately, I am not licensed to do so. How effective is the method on most small grass seed bags that says to "cut the grass on your mower's lowest setting?"

Tenn is pretty rough to get a license in. Best bet probably would be a core aerate, overseed and use healthy turf to choke out weeds. Sub out an app to a licensed PCO. This isn't a cheap or quick proposition. Resist the urge to throw down a bag of Turfbuilder2 and some cheap seed.
