How to get flyers out

I have developed a 4 by 9.5 advertisement and want them mailed directly to the homes. does any one know how to acquire a list of addresses for a target area

How many fliers/homes do you want to hit? I never used direct mail. I just spend a few days walking the neighborhood. Knock on a few doors and get some business right away.
