summer slump - hot stretch

This is our first season in the lawn maintenance business. Everything is a first for us, like right now when the grass is dormant because of a long dry hot stretch.

A couple of our weekly customers have suggested we skip this week, which of course makes sense with the lawns that are really dormant.

Are many of you in this inevitable summer slowdown? If so, what do you all do at this time? Admin, upsell other services, rest, ?

We are in the pacific northwest where we usually get a lot more rain; I'd say this slow down will occur much later in the summer as a rule. We are breaking records for a hot-dry July.
