cat 232 temp light

The light is coming on in my 2004 cat 232 skid steer. When I bought it I ran it low on coolant once and I remember it beeped. Its not beeping, and the light is very dim. Is there a reason its dim as opposed to being bright like the parking light. Not sure if it gets brighter the hotter it gets. There is fluid in the resevoir. I'm probably going to change the thermostat and gasket and go from there. Thanks for all your help.

Could possibly be the temp sensor or i have also seen moisture in the left control panel making those lights partialy come on .
