Self contained leaf vacuum units worth the cost?

I know leaf removal season is short but there is a lot of money to be made by sucking up leaves.

These self contained units in my opinion look very professional and much better than the home built leaf boxes that a lot of company's like myself use.

From the prices I have gotten these units range from $20,000 to $50,000. That's a lot of dough but I figured I'd ask if anyone actually uses them.

What does a 20-50k machine do better than the one I built? I bought a new dump trailer, new vaccum, and built a very nice box out of wood for $11k. I spent some money on the box and built it to last....some metal framing, custom tarp etc.

And I have a dump trailer I can use the rest of the year, which you wouldn't with a dedicated machine.

I actually agree. The fact that you can use the dump trailer the rest of the year makes it a better option to not have a dedicated machine.
