work thread

Suppose I will get one started. Run a small solo operation have about 20 weekly accounts one of which is 200 acres. Run a 36 belt drive scag and a 72 diesel Ztr. Also do quite a bit of patios and decks. Also do a lot of snow. Excited to start my third official season. Started getting calls for aerating and overseeding which is great considering we have about a foot of snow still. Have 5000 door hangers to get out next weekend. Nothing like good college buddies who work for some beer. I will get pictures up as soon as I start working. Very excited for this season!

very professional and clean looking. A lot of wordage but could be good for new customers to learn about you. 100 prints is a very little amount of advertising, but i guess a good start.. How old are you? 14?

Good luck this season!

Okay gotcha. If it were for my company and i was only going to be handing out 100 fliers(since you obviously are doing this in your neighborhood because you cant drive, exactly how i started) I would hand out a flier 2-3 times to each house in your target market(neighborhood)

That was it gives you maximum exposure. Normally i would do 2 of the same, and then the last one, come up with a different design and include some of the same features of your first batch, but add pricing and such.

The flyer looks good.

Props to you for starting so early! Wish I started earlier, you've got your whole life ahead of you and you have already done something millions of people dont have the confidence to do, you started your own business.

Sounds like you have a good start! Good Luck!

Congrats, you are learning the right way early on. Too many times startups fail to allocate money for marketing. All the shiny new crap on the trailer ain't worth spit if you can't put it to work. Wait until you start sending out 10k to 100k of flyers, postcards with double side shiny heavy weight materials. Way more pro than the baggy of gravel and cheap paper offer to power wash my driveway for 69.99 that I picked up next to my mailbox today.
