I'm just praying this wet late winter isn't how the whole mowing season is going to be cause if it's like two years ago the straps will be doing some work

I keep laughing at how many guys are so ready to go. I'm still hoping for some more snow. I would like to see 2-3 real good snow storms yet.
I'm never in a rush though. spring will come when it comes. I just go with the flow. I won't even touch the equipment until at least mid march. they need oil changes, new filters, spark plugs, blades, greased. they are all packed up inside my trailer fully winterized. |

wow. all my stuff is ready to go. i did all the maintenance back in december at the end of last season. all i have to do is buy gas and go mow.
we are eager because we have no money coming in since we don't have snow plowing down here.

I wait until spring to change oil, replace spark plugs, replace oil filters, grease and replace blades. right now the handhelds are in my garage attic, empty and my mowers are in the trailer with stabil in the tank and batteries removed. everything needs new oil, oil filters and spark plugs, greased and fueled. I've not done much snow plowing this winter. I can count the number of times I went out on 1 hand. but my business and cash flow is never dependent on snow removal. it's just extra spending money for me. I could stop work the end of november, head to florida and not come back until march if I wanted to. |

We don't really count on plowing either, usually don't make much. We just consider it a bonus if we have alot of snow. 25 inches this year was even less last year.

we've had snow flurries yesterday and today down here.
![]() i'll take snow over rain any day though. down here we can't really wait to do maintenance in early spring. as soon as it warms up a bit the weeds are already 6" tall. this can happen it a day or two. it's practically overnight. ![]() actually there's already weeds growing in every yard down here already. they just haven't gotten tall enough to worry about cutting them yet. they keep getting stunted by these cold spurts.

I've been hearing the Robins chirping away just about every day the past couple weeks. Weird that they're out so early. And we possibly have a large snow storm potentially in MN Mon-Tues. We will see what happens. I hope we get it, and then it warms up real quick so we can get clean ups, crabgrass pre-em, aerating & installs going as soon as possible!!

I am ready going to the store to pick up oil, filters,(oil, and air) blades, grease, and plugs. truck is getting an oil change, a good cleaning, and a check on the battery voltage. I might even take the blower to get a carb adjustment and reline the weed whip.
