New Ford Transit coming next year

Looks like they will be selling a full-size Transit in the US next year, and also available as a cab and chassis. Engines will be 3.7 V6, 3.5 Ecoboost or a 3.2 i5 Power Stroke turbo diesel. Wheelbases from 138-178". Might be a good candidate for a landscape body. Should have decent towing capacity.

I was thinking the same thing. I was trying to picture myself in that and I couldn't. For those of you who do use box trucks for stuff, how much in savings do you notice vs. using a truck and trailer? Just wondering. I don't see myself in anything but a truck ever.

They've been selling these and the diesel in Europe for years. I'd wager it's the best selling van in Europe.

I get about the same MPG in my box truck or f250 and trailer. (same gas motor) It's about the 20' verses 40' long, and all the other advantages of a box truck. Do a search.

You'd win that bet, BUT that doesn't necessarily mean it will translate to success here.
