Jason, what stores are you talking about? The only thing thats closed here on weekends are some warehouses or corp offices.

alot of stores are closed on sundays or they don't open up until 12pm on sundays.

in other words don't cut at a store like walmart that's open 24/7. if you do get lights on your mower and cut at 3am when there's not many people around.

i cut the grass at a servpro which is closed on sat and sun.

i don't mean just stores but businesses too. most businesses are closed on the weekend.

Now let's say I do just cut lawns this summer and nothing else. How should I call this "business". I was thinking something simple that specifies my plan as in "Alex Lawn Care". What do you guys think? Also do I have to find out first if this name is in use before advertising it?

I personally wouldn't use my name but alot of people do. Try something along the lines of :
White oak lawncare
Red oak
River landscapes
Rock solid
Bonsai lawncare
Use a natural word. Like something that is in nature.

Yes Alex before you advertise you need to check just look on the state website and you can see if its available.

Alex, just cut friends, family and neighbors grass until your 18. Don't put the horse before the buggy. Try to make some cash before your 18 and in the evenings work on getting your ducks in a row so you'll have everything ready to go when you turn 18.

I would take exmarkking's advice. Get caught advertising a business without being legit and you're facing fines.
