Why would someone ask? Concealed is concealed. I don't have any properties that have signs posted.

Ron,

I'm not easily offended so no worries there, Your exactly right it's situational awareness of which I have a lot more of now due to what happened to me, like I said I carry now for the very reason you mentioned, I at least want a fighting chance.

If I didn't think I was going to fill my gun with dirt daily I would definitely carry it every second.

I've often thought the same thing would probably happen if confronted by a gun toting robber. The problem is, we're not trained or expecting the situation to happen to us, and when it does our reaction time is "VERY SLOW" compared to the guy that already has it in his mind what he is doing. I'm very much a gun advocate and ex military, but sadly, the truth is 99% of us would get killed in a confrontation with a gun toting robber. Yes I carry and have guns in my house as well. I have been carjacked, I wasn't carrying at the time, and the truth is I was so stunned that I didn't know how to react, and this dateline segment showed just that. You can talk all the junk you want but when it happens to you it's a VERY REAL AND VERY SCARY SITUATION!
First off, the 60 Minute deal was set up to make the carriers fail, the minute they were placed in the room. Secondly, you better be training monthly for every scenario. The training company I attend has a simulator for training and we also do Force on Force training every month. You have got to be prepared PERIOD

Same here, Its tough finding a way to conceal ALL the time.
Especially in summer clothes.

Winter, not much problem.

But you can believe one thing, when someone gets shot whether in self-defense or not, at an absolute minimum the shooter is looking at a court case which means showing up in front of a judge over top of criminal charges. Just pulling a gun out in front of a stranger almost translates to going to jail, but here in America many of these so-called gun rights activists don't understand that.

Anyone pulls a gun out in front of me and they will be explaining it to the police.
I so much as see it or tucked away in a holster, I make a phone call.
Don't come within eye sight of me with a weapon.
I have zero tolerance for gun toting bravado.

Man you need to lighten up a whole bunch.

Obviously you live in a state thats badly bound up.

In a lot of states it is not state law to register any thing.
Other than like full auto weapons.
And licenses????????? I don't even need a CCP to carry in my state.
I do have one but open or concealed carry without a permit is legal in my state.

Concealed carry with out a permit is legal in I believe 5 states now.

So go ahead, be a 911 rambo and call the cops.
Aint gonna do you any good unless the guy is breaking the law. The only thing it'll do is make you look silly to the cops.

You may not care for those that carry but that does not mean you get to take away their God given right to do so.
Any more than a guy that believes in carrying gets to take away your right to say what ever comes out of your mouth.

LOL!!! Call the cops??? good luck here!!! If you do happen to have cell service you'll be waiting a while. Average response time IF your working near a population center is 10-15 minutes. If your in the sticks GOOD LUCK!!! Average response time here is over 1/2 hour. We are also an open carry state and i see a LOT of people carrying. Funny we only had 11 murders in the whole state last year. Might be because everyone is armed??? Personally when i see someone carrying a weapon i am comforted that someone will have my back if SHTF. Do a carry ALL the time?? In my rig YES, On the job, depends on where i am at. Are people here bothered by firearms??? NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST!!! Our valley has a population of 90,000 and we have 12 different firearms manufacturers here............
