investment lending?

What is everyones thought on having someone invest in your business? Did it work out? What are the pros and cons? How did you go about asking that someone to invest in your company?

I have really been thinking about the same thing. I don't want someone telling me how to run my biz, but its time. Turning down work like crazy and I need another crew. Truck, trailer, equip. , and employees. Not sure also how to pay them on profits or if you can ever pay them off.

500k Cash infusion and id be able to grow from a 1/4 mill in sales company to 1-2 mill in sales in a few very short years. But I don't have 500k to invest and I sure as hell wouldn't borrow that much nor let someone with it invest. I play poker tournaments at the casino but taken someones savings as an investment is to be of a risk in my book.

this is VERY risky, of corse any inverstment is.

I would be VERY courious to see your company profile. I'm assuming this would not be offered as a public held company !!!

also. with the rate of interest, I can get 13 to 17% on my money right now. I kno others are not doing this well. with bonds and such being called.

the proper way to do it is to let it go public and offer stock. of corse. surely you know not to release anyhting other than 49%.
this is VERY much so why I would love to see that profile. I know many small businesses have lost there business simply becaue of inversers. they would put in monies, then they would call for an audit. BAM. you JUST LOST EVERYTHING..... IF a person put in say 10,000.00 and called an audit. and the compnay was only worth 19,000.00 GUESS WHAT ?

yup you got it, you JSUT lost controlling interest.

Wasn't trying to make you laugh bohiaa just pointing out what I know I could do with enough cash to out fit and additional 6 crews or so. Growth can be strangled by many factors in my present size its capital. It takes years to raise the cash to expand and add a new crew if you could skip the years for raising the capital it speeds things up dramatically.
