Large Sod Job

Ok first, I've done plenty on small sod jobs in the 1-2,000 sqft range where I can get anywhere from $1-1.50/sqft. I use materials and time to get my prices which come out to that range. No biggie. Well I will be looking at a job that according to the dimensions from the site map (new build) will be in the 15,000 sqft range. I will be checking it out this week for true dimensions and the site conditions. More than likely harley raking and using large roll sod laid out by tractor which will be rented. Sod will be delivered and a quick rough estimate of costs, equipment, and materials will be in the $6000 range. Since there is no removal needed its more just prep the existing soil. I don't plan on using a sqft pricing strategy but for those that do I can't imagine anyone is going to part with $15,000 for a lawn??? I've used this large roll sod in redoing baseball fields and it lays quickly. Once I get more complete details I'll have a better idea but for those that price strictly on sqft I can't imagine you'd land these jobs?

Any and all input appreciated.

NOT LOOKING FOR A PRICE just curious on those who only use sqft pricing.

It's all in what you want to make man. I did 8k last year for roughly an 8k price. Harley raked it all, had a roll off dropped for what rolled up and had a guy come in 2 weeks prior to kill the existing weeds that were there off. We laid mini rolls and I made out with about 4k in my pocket. I may not ever get another like that but I made good on that one.

With sqft pricing there is a mimimum that you cannot go below. It still costs .35 cents a foot regardless. I would do it for .80 or .90 depending on if it needs grading or topsoil etc.

I run into this all the time with concrete and pavers. It still costs x per foot, the price doesnt keep going down because the job gets bigger
