I was tempted to head back to the shop and pick up my shop-vac for a job a couple of weeks ago where a valve box was full of gopher-deposited soil.

If I'd had it on the the truck, with enough extension cord length and a working outlet, it would have at least been worth trying out.

Beckson pumps wear out fast in gravelly clay mud.
