maybe the same force that causes me to need to pee really bad the minute i get home from a drive, everytime.

i find cordless phone conversations to be much more dis-believeable that this. maybe one day, i'll buy and try one.

1) It could be conducting radio or transmission waves?

Good question. I've read articles that say it has something to do with the human body and its conductivity. I wonder if the dowsing can be done using a non-conductive object, such as a long length of PVC pipe.
I may try this out next week, if I remember.

If you were to read the manual for the Rigid you have, prolly under "passive mode" they may address it in there. Not sure, just an educated hunch.

Well Jim I have you to thank for banging around in the irrigation trailer at 10:30 PM so that I might drag a piece of sch 40 and two marking flags into the living room.

and then doing something something of a sword dance holding these flags while laughing my ass off.

Thank god I dont live with my parents, I would be in the asylum tomorrow....
