I will update with what I have done. I already have a website so did not touch that for now. I do get leads from it.

I am doing adwords for now about $25 a day but Im not even hitting the $25 yet. The weather here has not broke yet, its 50 today but the next 3 days are going to be highs in the 30's. Ridiculouos!

I bought a few thousand postcards and I am mailing them to a database I have of about 500 homes I want to market to. All in the neighborhoods I want to be in and all over $300k. The postcards were only $150 on vistaprint and 3 mailings to these homes will be $500 in postage so Im at $650 on that direct mail. I have sent out one round of these last thursday. And will do another round each week for the next two weeks.

I dont know if you guys have a Clipper ad magazine but that is big in our area. I did an oversized flyer that gets inserted in to the magazine. It is bigger than the magazine so it actually sticks out the side of it. Should attract attention. Plus its got some bright colors on it. I am doing 33k of those inserts. It came out to $2600. 7.8 cents eachl They come out on april 22nd. Our grass should be just starting to green up by then.

So far just a few calls/emails from the first round of postcards and adwords. But it is still quite cold here.

Oh ya, I also bought a couple thousand door hangers I am going to have my mow crews put them on the 10 houses surrounding each account the first week we are mowing. Should only take a few extra minutes since they will already be there.

How do you spend 15k and get 0 customers? What type of work do you do?

Landscaping, irrigation, lighting, yearly contract only maintenance. It almost sold a 2k job before she called and cancelled.
