I have some hills that make me nervous with my walk behind especially when wet. I am aware that jd's quiktrak is the Wright stander. I wasn't sure if they altered the design a bit though.

i love my vride...its great for fitting into small spaces and takes up less room on my trailer...also lighter than a ztr so doesnt rut as bad in wet grass

Personally, I love my GS's, I've only had to turn down one job because of the hill issue, but we couldn't even cut it with 21's either it was so steep so it was a wash either way. The type of grass is also an issue as far as hills go, bermuda, zoysia are all less stander friendly on hills. If hills are a major concern, just keep that in mind and plan around it, like was said above, a 21" or 30" for those tough places or a WB as a back up, but if the hill is so steep that I can't cut it with my standers I won't take the account, no biggie, there's too many accounts without hills to worry about it honestly.

I got to ride a 52 wright stander x for a few minutes around the parking lot. It's a comfortable ride. I'm hopefully getting a demo to bring home this week.

Toro
Grandstand 52" and soon to be the 30" TurfMaster
Performance on the GS is excellent, like the vision across the deck. The platform is comfortable, trailer space is a big plus with folding up the platform. Also, the unit is fairly light and serves as a good alternative to riders on soft/irrigated lawns. |

I looked at a jd quik-trak yesterday. It seems to be just like the wright stander, I was quoted $6,299 for a 60"????? They had a promo going but not sure why that is nearly half price of a wright?

my local dealer quoted me 7700 out the door for a 52'' JD. went ahead and got the wright though for 400 more since controls are the same as my 36'' stander. it is almost identical, JD made some changes to controls and few other minor things but nothing major. i figured in the long run JD parts wouldn't be cheap either and heard they are only making a limited number

Thank you everyone for your voting. I went with a 61" wright stander x. It should be in next week.

Before I set my mind on a stander, I was considering going with a propane walk. I may convert the stander in the future if possible and if it is worth it.
