Neat

Has anyone or is anyone using the Neatdesk or NeatReceipts filing system.
Looks really easy to use and a bonus to have since I don't have a secretary and paperwork isn't my favorite thing to do.
Please share your experiences or dislikes

I don't use it, but most name brand all-in-one printer/copier/scanner units come with software that will do the same thing. Some have the OCR (optical character recognition) capability that will convert a scanned document into one you can actually edit. Just buy an HP, Cannon or Brother unit and get the same capability.

I use it on a regular basis. Scan all my receipts and files it to the correct file, material, office, fuel, etc. My accountant loves it.

Hey zackster,
Do you use it with quickbooks or quicken or do you just use it by itself. I'm really thinking of purchasing it. At the moment I use Landscapebilling.com and I know it is not compatible, so if I do purchase it I need to get a compatible program to use with it. Thanks for the reply

I have the neat receipts one (smaller one), I paid like $150 for it 3 or 4 years ago. It's nice because it's IRS approved to show just the scanned receipts so you don't have filing cabinets full of paperwork. I don't use it with quickbooks so I can't help you on that end.

The one thing I don't like is if I have larger receipts, like lesco gives full page receipts, it wants to save them as a memo and wouldn't let me put them in a file with other materials.

So your saying you use it as a stand alone unit. I don't use quickbooks, I was looking to use it as a stand alone unit.

Thanks for the response, seems like whenever I try to make something easier, it always becomes harder. Lol

I use Expensify and load into Quickbooks. Not sure how it would work for ALL filing paperwork, most expense receipts. So much easier!
