Put Dura tracs on my Plow truck and Silent armour on my grocery truck. Now I don't drive because I don't want to wear them down and have to buy another set. No money for gas either. They just look nice in the driveway and I use my bike or walk.

You can save a whole lot of money if you're only willing to drive civilized.
Save even more if you can mount them yourself. Those 285's are awful wide, you have special rims? Tires for stock rims are almost always cheaper, too. You have to decide, if that extra you're spending is worth all that. Of course you still need to balance, and the disposal fee. http://www.tirebuyer.com/tires/fuzion/suv/p/tv103000050 Last edited by herler; 03-18-2013 at 02:25 AM. |

Michelin LTXs on the F250 diesel. 70,000 miles has happened. But I don't expect that all the time. Pull the lawn trailer with 2 rider ZTRs and push a plow. My F250 gas (used) came with BF Goodrich ATs on it. USELESS on ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This fall it'll be getting Michelin LTXs on it as well.

ive put the michelin ltx + ltx at2 on 3 trucks, been happy, they are Known to be a long wearing tire-
but come ata price, be sure you plan to keep the truck for 60k more miles to get your moneys worth, otherwise , like me--im getting 4 tires for a service truck now that i plan to keep for another 30K miles max. got the cheapest load e brand name tire i could find for it- which this time around was the nitto terragrappler, lt265/70r17 load e $689 with tax |
