What do you think about my hourly rates.

With all this talk about skid steer hourly prices I thought I would see what everyone thinks about all of my prices. I try not to price by the hour but it seems like people always want to know. I do believe a skid steer or CTL is the hardest to convince people its worth the money.

Kubota 161-3 $90 hr
Kubota SVL75 $100hr
Kubota M9000 tractor $75hr
Deere 650J XLT $120
Deere 135C RTS $130
Single axle dump $75

The only issue I see is a single axle dump truck for $75.0 an hour. Great if you can get it. It would not happen in my area. That's my rate for a 4 axle Mack and I am $5.00 over the area average.

Do you charge a mob charge?

In the right range and I agree that the ctl is hard to justify to some. Ksss, up here our tandem rates are much better than what you are stuck with down there. We aren't allowed drop axles so it's either tandem or tridem. Consequently there are lots of pups.
Here are the local rates as published by the local heavy equipment association. Notice that they don't list CTLs. Also, tandem rates haven't budged in a long while and certainly haven't reflected the increases in fuel costs, so everyone's eating the increases. I suppose nothing has in that regard but trucking has the most exposure to fuel costs, so I find it surprising at how they have held steady.

I have a F 750 dump and I charge $75 per hr or per load depending. My truck is a 33600 and I can legally load 8.5 tons altho hauling 9 isn't a risk. I'm licensed for 48k so I can pull my Tak 140($90 per hr) or my Kubota B 26($75) behind on my trailer while loaded. I want to get a Mini ex and thegoing rate here seems to be $100 per hr.

Up here you would be hard pressed to get that. My triaxle goes to a stone company and hauls stone and black top all season, $70.00 per hour, trailers are only $125.00. Equipment here, mini ex $65.00 dozer $75.00 MTL with attachments $75.00. Not alot of work to be had either with the equipment anymore.

Sometimes the only size truck(or other equipment) is smaller. My 750 only gets 6mpg but I do a lot of deliveries where a truck my size is the only thing that will get into the jobsite.
Work down here in Raleigh is still decent tho and I've never had any complaints or truck price.

We don't go by hour here.. I can't believe how many of you guys do.. My triaxle goes out for $720 a day that's 8 hour day and it should be a lot more a day considering the price and fuel on these trucks.. bobcat t590 8 hour day $650 mini excavator same $650.. Long time customers I do better for..

I'm actually trying to get rid of the half days.. But once again I work with the good customers on half day pricing

I work with existing customers as well. VERY local, I may do a half day and existing customers, if I'm not busy, I'll do a few hours to help them. I try and price by the day, week or job. Hourly is only for exisiting customers who know me and my work. Hourly gets me pitted against some guy with a machine half the size and half the price. I try and avoid that..
