buy one of those oregon powersharp kits. you snap it on the end of the chainsaw, press it against something, and run it for a bit and it sharpens the chain for you. i wouldn't sharpen a chain by hand. i think it's like $40-$50 for the oregon kit. it includes a bar, chain, and sharpener.

make sure the chainsaw you buy has an oregon kit to fit it. they don't make the kits for every chainsaw.

Weeze! Thanks man...do those chains cut as well as normal chains? I saw that to use the system you need to buy their chains which are pretty pricey.
