Landscape Bed project.

I decided to put some pictures of the result of this project here for some of you that might not visit the trucks n trailers section. Here is a link to the build of this bed. We got it back from powder coat today and set on the frame. Obviously it looks goofy right now until we get the dump mounted in front. I hope you enjoy.

That came out great. Followed it from the beginning of the other thread. It motivates me to do a project.

Side dump. Basically we're trimming down our existing dump insert. Next winter we'll probably cut off the sheet metal of the insert and rebuild a box using the existing dump frame.

Flooring will be treated 2x6
Price to powder coat was $350 for single coat or $450 for double coat. I opted for the double coat. They did a fantastic job. The expanded metal is smooth. Even the metal beneath the expanded metal is covered where as paint would leave voids. Very impressed with the powder coater.

That's a good price on the powder coating. I've never seen a wood floor bed.

Our flatbed truck is wood floor as are all of our trailers. I think a steel floor would be too slippery

If it were me I would move the rear axle further back. To me there is way to much overhang and could have problems with bottoming out.
