Honestly probably not very much, but like krazy Kajun said its about branding....that's the main reason I have my truck lettered. Although with the new trailer I got I do think I might have some signs made up for the gate....

Displaying any business information on a motor vehicle require that said vehicle be insured commercially.

I agree with the talk about branding. But we have picked up countless neighbors of our customers because they know who to actually call also.

None of our trucks are lettered basically. We really letter them up nice... and it only costs us about $400.00 per truck.

Hands down, the best return on investment... unless your driving around in a bunch of junkers.

well my truck isn't new it's a 96 f350 all white, with no big dents, a few small dings one the size of baseball in above the taillight and very little rust no holes from rust, but i guess compared to most of the landscape companies around me my truck is "junk" maybe that's why i don't get any calls from. I do get a lot of compliments on it from customers, but its not a 3-6 year old truck like my companies around me drive, but they have all been around 20 years, so considering i'm only starting my 3rd year, I'd say things are going quite well.

If its in decent shape, I'd letter it.

The oldest truck in our fleet is a '94 Chevy 2500, that I bought 4 years ago, and lettered it.

Maybe you don't want to spend $400 and have it stand way out, but you should get it lettered.

My 2 cents.

Every point made I agree with.

And think of it this way. Your servicing a property and a neighbor notices you with no lettering. You may get glanced at and nothing more, or they have to come over and interrupt you just to find out basic info.

Truck is lettered and they glace, go look you up and either call you later or come up and briefly interrupt you with more interest because they had the chance to look you up already, give them a card and your back to work with a better chance at a new customer.
