Beware of MH Landscapes

Be very careful if MH Landscapes calls you and wants you to mow bank owned properties. Their area managers will tell you one thing, approve the billing and when they cut your check they only will pay you half. We heard they were getting 50.00 per lawn from the banks to do these properties and they only want to pay 15.00 per stop. They also require 30 plus photos per property.

Could be wrong but it sounds like they're not paying the full amount even with all of the pictures. Unfortunately there are many companies that do this or try to get out of paying altogether.

there is no way that the company subbing the work should be making more than the company actually doing the work.

These companies continue to prey on hungry startups. The housing crisis continues to screw people over long after the so called bottom.

Yep. They scour CL and find guys willing to do the job and after they do it, send the pics and bill for payment, they're extremely hard to contact and payment is even harder to get. Hear it all the time.

Business is business same as any other. It's just not good business and unfortunately ruins it for the legit businesses. Won't do any work for any of those companies unless pay is upfront. Too much work to chase down a check all the time from them.

You have bank work figured out!

This is why I got out of it all together starting 1/1/13.
I just don't need the hassle of unreliable work, cheap work, and the high possibility of working for free.

I've heard of prices being offered as low as $10 to $12 per lawn.
