How much to aerate a 3/4 acre lot?
How much would you charge to aerate 3/4 acres? I would have to do it running 2 bluebird walk behind aerators, not sure how long that would take, ive never aerated such a place before. But whos got the big money to spend on a ride on aerator, the market im in doesnt support such things in my opinion. whats your opinion?

$120 is way too low. I charge $100 for 1/4 acre lots most of the time depending on obstacles and hills. You would be safe around $300-$350

$29.95 and up around here for that. I'm on the high side of the market here. $50-$68 is what I pull in for those. Posted via Mobile Device |

How many holes per sqft are needed? A rolling drum-type aerator with holes 6 inches apart may be enough.
I suggest 2 dollars for the machine expense, and 2 dollars for the skilled labor. Per minute. If your equipment cost less than $1000 and cost less than $1000 per year for gas and repairs, then maybe you could charge $1 per min for the equipment charge. If you are not a high school graduate, the skilled labor is out--cut the labor in half. |

I just have a turfco 26. I have honestly never done a 3/4 acre yard. But ive never aerated a lawn for less than $80 before. Aerating sucks and is tiring. My rates are high because i hate doing it and i dont have the volume of aerating jobs. For your job $300 would be my minimum depending on the yard and the customer, but you have another guy with you helping so it will go a lot faster so you could go a little cheaper.

The Pro26 should do 3/4 of an acre in an hour.
