Restricted access!

Hi all,

As you might of heard accross the pond the tiny island called the UK has a re-occuring problem .......Restricted access everywhere!!!!

Unlike you guys - good access into back yards for us is 34-36"!!! a most and usually about 28/30"!!!

I have been searching around for some time for a small access stump grinder that is quite productive - yeah there are small engined grinders out there but they dont seem to do the job well enough. I currently run two vermmer machines sc252 & sc352.

I have been looking at a grinder called an Alpine magnum that run off a saw power unit, i have yet to find the dealer for the uk to arrange a demo.

Has anyone got one of these grinders and if so is it any good?

Andy.

I haven't used one of these grinders, but I found a link to their dealer locator that I thought I would post for you - www.alpinemagnum.com/dealer.htm

You may have already tried this but figured I'd post it for you anyway :waving:

Thanks - i will find out if we have a dealer over here in the uk!! What is the productivity of these machines? Are they similar to something like an RG30 Rayco mini work force?

Dingo now has a stump grinder attachment and my 525 TX will go thru a 35 inch opening approx. Branch Manager Attachments has a aftermarket attachment that has it's own power unit and looks nice. I am going to demo the Dingo unit soon. It runs on hydraulics. BMA Has a video on another thread on the board somewhere.

Thanks Treevet,

I do like the idea of this machine as it does give me an option of a compact loader as well as a grinder. I will look further into this as well as treegals suggestion.

The more suggestions the better!!!!
