They might cut fine but the question is "how long?" If your using more than one chain a day I'd question the quality of whatever your using. We use Stihl chain and can make a sharp chain last at least 3-4 days cutting 5-6 hours a day on a Stihl 192T in hardwood and keeping the bar out of the dirt. We use a bench grinder to sharpen our chain. When you sharpen you own chain you notice the difference in quality. An Oregon chain will feel loose and light compared to a Stihl chain.

I agree on that. I have a few Oregons and a few Stihl chains and I think the Stihls last longer. The chains from Oregon are a good chain as long as you keep them sharp.

That's a funny thing to say. I'd never use a 192T as a ground saw. It's a saw for light duty work and pruning, mostly....

By the way, I do prefer Stihl chain, but Oregon's recent products are just fine. I have a new chain, Oregon round ground chisel, on a 5+ hp modded Dolmar 5100S. It's been on there for several days worth of work, and is still quite sharp. Sure, it's time to touch it up......we weren't cutting any real hardwoods, though.

Dirty Bar

We don't usually use it on the ground but when your cutting 500 elm suckers along/through a fence it works great!

Its all up to interpretation. You like one thing I like something else and something else even works better for someone else. Not Junk, just someones opinion.
