Walnut firewood

I scored some pretty nice walnut that would have been cut for firewood. Most people think that the best wood is in the nice, big straight logs, but I like the oddball stuff. The grain in the fork of a walnut tree is actually highly prized for gun stocks. I've got this wood drying to make coffee table tops. Without the portable sawmill, there isn't much that I could have done with it. It did take some creative clamping to hold it down, but that was part of the fun.

Here's the reward for my work!
