Dropside dump bodies?

Hey guys, new to the forum. Have a question for guys with experience with dropside dump bodies. I'm going to be ordering a brand new f450 within the next few weeks and the dropside bodies seem great. how do they hold up? do they become finicky as they age?

i really appreciate it,

Steel or Aluminum? Seen a few around here that are steel with the side doors aluminum so the are lighter. Or if the are steel the are usually split into to sections.

We have aluminum ones at work and the hold up great. I highly recommend aluminum if you can afford it. They will last for ever, Our oldest is from earl 90's and its on its second truck now and looks virtually brand new. Nothing uglier then a rusty steel dump on a new clean truck.

We have them on both 3 ton truck up to our tri-axel and i don't think we could ever switch back to not having the drop sides. Loading skids or equipment is so easy and you will find way more versatility in the drop sides then you ever thought.

The most finicky part of them that I only consider a minor issue is of there are any debris on the part of the bed they flip up against they will not close. But a simple brush clean and they are fine.
Truck, Mower, Trimmer, Blower.....same as everyone else.
