Need Quick Opinion: Exmark Lazer Z or Country Clipper?

New guy here. Needing a bigger ZTR for a house that I moved to - have about 2.5-3 acres of actual mowing to do on mixed flat and small hill terrain that is not overly smooth.

Have 2 mowers that I'm going to look at. Here's the options:

1) 2005 Exmark Lazer Z, 27 HP, 60", 900 hrs, $2900....looks to be in pretty good condition from the pics.

2) 2007 Country Clipper Charger, 27 HP, 60", 1100 hrs, $2200...also looks to be in pretty good condition.

Both of these are at the same place. I'm in the auto repair industry, so I'm big on knowing that I can get parts at reasonable prices.

If you were in my situation, what would you go with and why? Thanks for any input!!!!

Can't say I've ever heard of the country clipper, but Exmark is one of the bigger companies and parts shouldn't be a problem. You can find OEM and aftermarket parts with the Exmark.

Thanks for the input y'all.....I figured Exmark would be the choice seeing as how I've heard nothing but good things. Seems that Country Clipper has mixed reviews - good product, but poor customer service from the few reviews I have been able to come across.

Exmark hands down. Amazing cut quality, reliable machines, and hold their resale value. Take a look at what some of our used Exmarks go for. http://www.muttonpower.com/store/c-1...69&option2=865

Country clipper usually has a joystick operating system... no way I would buy one of those things. As far as parts go you can get exmark parts easy but they are expensive. Country clipper idk. There is a country clipper dealer here and literally I've never seen one on in action, just for sale on craigslist.

Exmark is owned by Toro and mary parts are interchangable on comparable models. Based on your description of the property (on mixed flat and small hill terrain that is not overly smooth) a 60" deck may be too wide. Try it before you buy it; wide decks have a tendency to scalp yards that are not level/flat unless they are set 2.5" or higher.

Exmark would be best out of the 2. Easier to get parts and is a solid mower if you have no issues with weight.

I love the joystick control on my country clipper. I won't ever buy a mower without it again. It's so nice to have a hand free all the time. I haven't had a single issue with mine but its only a year old.
