Scag's new seat

Has any one tried the new suspension seat that Scag has come out with? How does it compare with the old style Michigan seat? I just ordered one today should be in 7-10 days from being back ordered at warehouse.

If it's the one I've seen, it looks like the only change is the controls.

I haven't seen any links to the seat but it is being installed as their suspension seat on all the new mowers that offer suspension seats (tiger cat, turf tiger). Scag is not using the Michigan seat any longer. I have seen the new seat on a display mower but the mower is upright on a stand and I can't sit on it. The padding is much softer and thicker than the Michigan seat. The dealer said it's much more comfortable and the control knob is easier to use. The weight numbers are on the dial knob for easy setting.

It looks just like the old style high back seat on a suspension platform and the back is cut down 6" so its just a hair taller then the Michigan. The michigans seem to wear out real fast and really are not comfortable at all.

Its amazing though that these dealers dont even know about these knew features or new mowers coming. They have the new seat on a mower in a crate and didnt even notice it.
