soliciting

just got 5000 door hangers to put out. some of the developments i want to target have a no soliciting sign up at entrance.are door hangers considered soliciting since you have no direct contact with home owner at time of placeing them.any body had any experience with this .

Yes you should be able to still...but double check with the local city office.

Haha, I do anyway. I don't care if it's illegal. All the nice developments I target have a no solicitation sign.

My neighborhood has a big NO SOLICITING sign at the entrance, but people from all sorts of businesses put out flyers and door hangers anyway.

Common sense will say leaving a door hanger on the door or mail box is not soliciting in the sense you are not annoying the resident by knocking on a door requiring the resident to stop what they are doing. Then not annoying for a second time by having them listen to a sales pitch.

Ninety nine percent of the time you will of left your flyer without them even knowing that you were there.

The one percent that you are seen. I always say I'm just dropping off a landscaping flyer, bye, have a nice day. Turn then leave.

Most Citys have a no soliiciting law. this does NOT mean you cant do it.
you will need a permit. and or follow there rules. on our city. were ok as long as we dont knock on doors.
BUT you better check. they can make you go back and pick them up

DOnt do this.....

Follow the laws, there's a reason there in place.

have some scroples about your self. and your business.

if you show that you dont mind breaking the law. the customers will see this
