new job, keeping the business going

Ok so I am starting a new job on the 29th working for Dish installing satellite tv's and such.

Now I have about 25 yards that I am doing right now and picking up a huge contract hopefully. I will have a day or two off each week. I will keep the business going but have my employee start doing them all on his own. He knows. Anyone else done this? I will be calling all of my customers and letting them know what is going on just to give them a heads up.

Doing something similar with more than twice the properties. With that kind of free time 25 is cake.

Good point on the no-compete.

Had an emplyee of mine go around posing as if he was the owner. When I let him go cause he was a lazy, ungrateful sh!tbag, he tried stealing customers. This is the same guy I took into my own house to live because he had nowhere to go, fed him, and even let him use one of the company trucks. I actually started the company to give him a full time job. NEVER AGAIN!
