New guy needs advice real quick!!!

Hey guys, we're a young business and this is our first year getting into retaining walls. We have a regular maintenance customer with an existing wall that needs some work done. It's a beautiful rockwood wall, been standing for 10 years, and just needs the entire row of caps replaced.

What I'm asking!!!

What would you guys charge for this job??

There are 25 caps to be replaced and i plan on purchasing 30 at $4 a piece from the nearest dealer, about 40 miles away. Also, i'm renting a masonry saw being that this is our first year in walls and i haven't purchased one yet. So...I'm figuring

$120 in blocks
$80 for the saw
$20 in fuel

and what would you all charge for labor?? There will be two of us on the job and i would be ok with not charging our normal rates, just so that we get the job and the experience for sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks,

Lane

Are the old blocks glued? Are you going to glue the new ones? Are you missing some expense there?

There are three teirs to the wall and i am only repairing one. Being that the other two rows of caps are not glued and have held up just fine, I do not plan on glueing the new row. Thoughts??
